Usage of this website generally does not require disclosure of personal data. Where personal data is collected (for example name, address or email address), this is done, as far as possible, solely on a voluntary basis. This data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent, except in cases described in this Data Privacy Policy and in the case of mandatory national legislation.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You always have the right to request information about your stored data, its origin, its recipients, and the purpose of its collection at no charge. Please note that we can provide information about personal data only with appropriate proof of your identity. Right to object to data collection in special cases as well as to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)

If the lawful basis of data processing is Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you have, at any time, the right to object to such processing on grounds particular to your situation, as well the right to object to any profiling based on these clauses. Please refer to this privacy policy for the relevant lawful basis for the processing of personal information. If you lodge an objection we will cease to process the relevant personal information unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for said processing, which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. You also have the right to object to data processing of your personal information for direct marketing purposes as well as to any profiling, to the extent that it is related to such marketing efforts. Right to file complaints with regulatory authorities

If you suspect a breach of data protection legislation, you may file a complaint with the competent regulatory authorities, in particular in the Member State of his or her habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data which we process based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract automatically delivered to yourself or to a third party in a standard, machine-readable format. If you require the direct transfer of data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us as the site operator. Opposition to promotional emails

We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published in the context of website legal notice requirements with regard to sending promotional and informational materials not expressly requested. Right to restriction of data processing

  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, you have the right to restriction of processing of your personal information until it has been verified whether there are legitimate grounds for processing that override yours.

If you have restricted the processing of personal information, the information shall, with the exception of storage, only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another data subject or natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or of a Member State.

2. Data collection on our website

Contact form and email

If you contact us via the form on the website, by email, your data will be stored to process the request, in case of follow-up questions, and as long as is needed depending on your interaction with us, or as otherwise prescribed by law. We will not share this information without your consent.

Disclosure to third parties will generally not take place without your consent unless applicable data protection regulations justify a transfer, or we are legally obliged to do so.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email making this request is sufficient.

The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

We will retain the data you provide on the contact form until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

Mailing list

Occasionally, we may contact you with important updates concerning the company or on new data protection processes in line with legal requirements. To contact you, we use a ‘Third-Party Email Marketing Platform’ as our marketing automation platform, and we remain the administrator of your data. We have an agreement with the platform on the procedure of data processing to ensure that the platform handles our data in adherence to the strict requirements of EU data protection law. By remaining in our mailing list, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to the platform’s servers in the United States in accordance to their Privacy Policy and Terms. The platform has strong privacy protections and has certified to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and EU GDPR.

Cookies

Our website uses ‘cookies’. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. Most of the cookies we use are also known as "session cookies". They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies allow us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in "server log files". These are:

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

Outsourced data processing

We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic data collection by Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics' demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Refusal of data collection".

Google Web Fonts
